Office and Financial Policies
Payment:
Clients are responsible for payment of services rendered. Payment can be made via cash, check, or all major credit cards. Checks should be made payable to Jessica Sheaffer. A $35 fee is charged for all returned checks.
Refunds:
For any refundable sessions cancelled with proper notice, a 4% credit card transaction fee will be deducted from the refund.
Insurance:
Upon request, a receipt can be provided for insurance reimbursement. Please note that Jessica is private pay and does not accept insurance directly.
New Clients:
All new clients are required to pay a $75 deposit to schedule their first appointment, with the remaining balance collected at the time of service. Once a client is established, payment is accepted at the time of service.
If a new client needs to cancel or reschedule their first session, the deposit is fully refundable (minus a 4% credit card transaction fee) if cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment.
Cancellations & Reschedules:
Clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule their appointment. This allows enough time for the appointment to be offered to another client. If an appointment is missed or notice is not provided within 48 hours, the full session fee will be charged.
Clients are welcome to have a friend or family member take their appointment if they are unable to attend.
Session Tardiness:
Clients are expected to arrive on time for their appointments. Sessions will end at the scheduled time, so arriving late will shorten the time available for treatment.
Inclement Weather:
In the event of inclement weather, Jessica generally follows the AISD schedule and will reach out to her clients by email, text, or phone to make alternate arrangements if travel to the office is not possible.
Medical Waiver of Responsibility
All services provided are intended to support general health, relaxation, and overall wellness. Jessica does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for medical conditions. The services offered—including bodywork, somatic practices, restorative exercise, coaching, and spiritual guidance—are not substitutes for professional medical care, and clients are encouraged to consult with their physician or qualified healthcare provider for any medical concerns.
By scheduling a session, clients acknowledge that they are responsible for their own health and well-being and agree to release Jessica from any liability related to their participation in services.
Thank you!
